{"id":376,"date":"2021-12-16T15:17:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T15:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rqdclearing.com\/?p=376"},"modified":"2022-06-23T21:03:57","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T21:03:57","slug":"ftf-news-rqd-qa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rqdclearing.com\/ftf-news-rqd-qa\/","title":{"rendered":"FTF News: Clearing is Broken: Q&#038;A with RQD*&#8217;s CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Consolidation across the clearing sector has resulted in less competition, fewer options for securities firms, and a broken system, says Michael Sanocki, CEO of RQD* Clearing, a new correspondent clearing provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus RQD\u2019s mission is to reach out to firms that are \u201csorely underserved\u201d and \u201cripe for disruption.\u201d RQD, which officially launched last month, offers a suite of clearing, custody, and execution solutions for broker-dealers in the retail and institutional realms, and for active traders, foreign financial institutions, and proprietary trading firms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RQD platform has been live for six months and has been used by multiple broker-dealers for clearing U.S. equities, options, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), accessed via an application programming interface (API). The cloud-native solutions are hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform. Sanocki oversees the strategy and company-wide operations at RQD.
